What is ORS?
ORS stands for Oral Rehydration Salts: a combination of electrolytes and carbohydrates used to support fluid and electrolyte balance, for example during or after exercise, heat, or an active day. Electrolytes such as sodium, potassium, magnesium, and chloride play a role in fluid regulation in the body.
ORS is not a treatment for dehydration, heat illness, or the effects of alcohol consumption. Always consult a doctor for serious complaints.
For reference: composition of the former product
Every Day Better ORS lemon flavor contained the following ingredients: dextrose, beet sugar, citric acid, sodium citrate, potassium citrate, salt, magnesium citrate, potassium hydrogen phosphate, natural flavor, vitamin C, sucralose, vitamin B3, zinc citrate, vitamin B5, and vitamin B12.
Nutritional values per serving (2 scoops): energy 76 kJ / 18 kcal, carbohydrates 3.9 g of which sugars 3.8 g, salt 0.6 g, sodium 230 mg, potassium 157 mg (8%), chloride 141 mg (17%), magnesium 30 mg (8%), zinc 0.8 mg (8%), vitamin C 50 mg (63%), vitamin B3 4 mg (25%), vitamin B5 1.5 mg (25%), and vitamin B12 0.63 ยตg (25%).
